Welcome to Camp Moriah!
Camp Moriah is an annual, week-long camp that gives Christian families who desire a break from the distractions and influences of the world an opportunity to fellowship with like-minded believers and enjoy corporate worship, age-appropriate bible studies and counseling groups, along with recreational activities throughout the day. Camp Moriah is held on a beautiful 30-acre facility that provides an authentic outdoor experience while at the same time providing reasonable accommodation for lodging, feeding and serving up to 350 people. Camp Moriah was started in 1967 and is under the direction of Christian Activities Incorporated, a Primitive Baptist non-profit.
Camp Moriah Tornado Damage

What Happened?
On April 2, 2025, Camp Moriah was directly hit by a massive tornado. Hundreds of trees were torn down and six buildings were either severely damaged or destroyed. While we are committed to rebuilding Camp Moriah, we realize that it is going to take lots of time and money to do so.

Is Camp Canceled this year/forever?
Camp Moriah is canceled for 2025. While we are working hard to do the cleanup and restorations needed to get Camp back up and running, our timeline will largely be dependent on donations and/or volunteer labor. Just as the original facilities were developed over time, it will take time to complete the restoration process. We will not wait until that process is complete before we begin to have Camp again. However, there are some restoration projects that will be necessary to complete before we can carry out a week of Camp.

Can I Help?
Yes, you can help by volunteering and by giving.
We are in the middle of a massive effort to remove hundreds of damaged trees from the property. We are making great progress thanks to volunteers with the necessary equipment and expertise to do this safely.
Once the grounds are safer, we will give monthly updates on volunteer work opportunities. We are working towards a full assessment of damage to the structures and infrastructure. At this point, we know that six (6) cabins/bathrooms are a total loss as well as loss of a good bit of infrastructure. Once we have a full assessment, we will get estimates on repair/replacement costs and seek donations.
